Are you one of the many veterans who are not receiving the Social Security Benefits that you deserve?
After the controversy at Walter Reed Medical Center, the focus on benefits for veterans who have served on or after 2001 and who have been injured physically or mentally (PTSD, Depression, etc.) has only grown. In 2008, Congress passed legislation that led to the creation of the Wounded Warrior Program that was designed to connect eligible vets to Social Security Disability benefits quicker than non-veteran applicants.

Are you a Veteran or Wounded Warrior entitled to an expedited Social Security Disability determination?
Social Security’s Wounded Warrior Program has a four-prong test:
1. Military service members who became or become disabled physically or mentally
2. While on active military service
3. On or after October 1st, 2001
4. Regardless of where the disability occurs
In order to qualify for the Wounded Warrior Program, you must meet all four prongs. If you do indeed qualify and also meet the disability requirements, you may receive your benefits on an expedited basis. For questions about social security disability, schedule an appointment with our veterans lawyer today.
Important:
You should file an application for disability benefits as soon as possible with any documents you already have available (including your DD 214.) Even if you do not have all documentation; do not delay filing because you may lose disability benefits and needed documentation can be submitted after you begin your application.
If you need any assistance, I would be happy to help you.
