I’m a Western New York native who has a passion for helping others. I was born in Buffalo NY and earned my Masters in English from Brown University before continuing my studies in Law at the University of Buffalo.
After earning my law degree, I worked as a staff attorney at the Social Security Administration Office of Hearings and Appeals. I assisted the Administrative Law Judges in the drafting of disability decisions. During my time, I gained a solid understanding of medical impairments and disabilities as well as a technical knowledge of Social Security law.
After the Social Security Administration Office of Hearings and Appeals, I worked in legal services. I eventually focused on litigation involving the Food Stamp Program and other issues involving hunger. I was a key participant in negotiating with the County of Erie Local Foods Program to provide food stamp applications in both English and Spanish.
For the past several years, my practice has focused exclusively on obtaining Social Security disability benefits for applicants. I have been called a “sledgehammer” for my tenacity in representing disability claimants. As a disability lawyer, I consider this a great compliment. I strive to represent my claimants in a forceful, targeted manner from the time they apply to the time they appear at a disability hearing.
